5-Year-Old With Autism Paints Stunning Masterpieces

utism is a poorly-understood neurological disorder that can impair an individual’s ability to engage in various social interactions. But little 5-year-old Iris Grace in the UK is an excellent example of the unexpected gifts that autism can also grant – her exceptional focus and attention to detail have helped her create incredibly beautiful paintings that many of her fans (and buyers) have likened to Monet’s works.

Little Iris is slowly learning to speak, whereas most children have already begun to speak at least a few words by age 2. Along with speech therapy, her parents gradually introduced her to painting, which is when they discovered her amazing talent.

“We have been encouraging Iris to paint to help with speech therapy, joint attention and turn taking,” her mother, Arabella Carter-Johnson, explains on her website. “Then we realised that she is actually really talented and has an incredible concentration span of around 2 hours each time she paints. Her autism has created a style of painting which I have never seen in a child of her age, she has an understanding of colours and how they interact with each other.”

This is incredible

My thoughts and prayers are going out to the North Central Texas College softball team and their families tonight as they mourn the loss of four of their beloved teammates. It honestly makes me sick just thinking about this. One second, you’re on the bus having fun with your teammates and then the next second four of your best friends are gone. I can’t even begin to imagine what losing any of my teammates would be like. I wouldn’t be able to handle that. Stay strong, NCTC Softball, we’re all praying for you. And to the players lost in this tragic accident, I hope there’s a field up there in Heaven so you can continue to play the sport you love! 💙🙏

This needs more notes, the NCTC team was riding in their bus that, to play the following days, when a tractor trailer crossed over the median hitting the bus, 3 of the girls were dead on the scene while the 4th died later in the hospital. And if you know anything about being on a team, a team is your family, they didn’t just lose 4 teammates, they lost 4 girls from their family, and that is heartbreaking..

This scares me tbh….😔🙍

This is so tragic. Be thankful for what you have. Be thankful for your coaches, teammates, friends and family. <3 Never take anything for granted. May they rest in peace.
